Cold Weather Running

Ran a short 2 mile route today through the neighborhood… trying to get acclimated to running outside in the cold weather. My layering wasn’t overly excessive, but the gusty winds really got to me about a mile in. I’ll definitely have to resort to a hat and gloves as the temperatures continue to drop. With the Peeps 5K weather looking like right around 30 degrees, my plan is to run fast (a PR wouldn’t hurt) and pray for little or no wind. Wish me luck!

Also trying to start back up on a weight loss plan… goal to drop 15-20 lbs. over the next 3-4 months. If I do what I did last year, combination of MyFitnessPal and a bunch of running/exercising, I’ll have the pounds gone in no time.
