Last Day of the Year

A very interesting day to say the least… we had snow squalls throughout the day. I ran in the Peeps 5K, which got interested as it was about 28 degrees outside and snowing pretty heavy. Finished in about 35 minutes, which was a slower than usual time for me, but took it easy at some points due to the increasingly slick roads.

As I do the almost required reflection on the past year, what started as a New Year’s resolution (exercising) turned into this little side-interest called running. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that in a year I would finish 4 5Ks, 3 10K, and a half marathon. That’s a lot more competitive running than I’ve done in my entire life. Here’s to 2014 and keeping it up.

2013 had its share of ups and downs, with some family members leaving us, some new beginnings, and bunch of stuff in the middle. The future looks interesting and exciting, and 2014 is no exception!
