I normally don’t do fundraising and such – but this one is really close. A friend at work’s son is battling DIPG, a very aggressive and at this time incurable form of cancer. He’s been through radiation, and is now on a clinical trial focused on genetic manipulation vaccine therapy. His treatment has had more positives than negative, but this little guy has a fight for the rest of his life. His family is going to be at this event, and I will be running as part of Team Aidan. I can’t imagine any more motivation than helping a friend out. His family has been very gracious with the support they have received, and will be donating any money collected to the hospitals and clinical trial group in the hopes of helping others.
