I managed to pound out a 2 mile run in the basement on the treadmill this afternoon. I actually seem to fare better running in the afternoon. One of these days I might actually temp fate and try an early morning run again… only ever did 1 of those in the last year, aside from morning races. The upcoming Princess Half Marathon will be my earliest wake-up call (3am) and earliest start (5:30am). I did sign up for the “Race Retreat”, which is basically a heated tent with foot, private restrooms, etc. before hand, and a warm breakfast afterwards (and the usual Disney characters). Hopefully, that should take care of any issues I may encounter, and guarantee me a source of food.<\/p>\n
I’m still kinda bummed at my inconsistent training. Add to the freezing cold a lingering stomach issue, and it’s a recipe for winter doldrums. Thankfully, I haven’t caught the full on stomach bug like many others, and I’m praying that streak continues. Hopefully the cold will let up one of these days and I can get back to outdoor (comfortable) running.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
This whole “polar vortex”\/sub-zero freeze thing is getting old.
