Apparently today was my 1 year anniversary using the MapMyRun tracking tool. I recorded 123 workouts and added 10 friends. My original goal was to find a tool I could use to keep track of my workouts, and I’ve since ended up using the tool to track any kind of walking/running, including dog walks, walks with the kids, etc. It’s given me an interesting view (and a lot of statistics) on my activity levels. Kinda scary when I look at the lifetime stats and realize that in one year’s time, I’ve traveled a combined 378 miles by foot! If you would have asked me that a year ago, I would have laughed and mumbled something about never doing that much.
Two half marathons later, and I’m still here, still working out, and actually working towards completed a full marathon early next year.
