St. Luke’s Kids Races

Tomorrow is half marathon #3 for me, courtesy of St. Luke’s. But before then, I took the kids to the pre-race expo to pick up bibs and look around. The kids also got to participate in the St. Luke’s Kids Races, which took place on Hamilton Street in Allentown, PA. Each kid got their own bib and race t-shirt. Alex and Elaina both ran the 3-4 year old race, which was a 1/8 mile run down the street. Hilari and I ran along with them. While Alex took off but then got a little upset when he realized he went too far ahead, Elaina took off happily running by herself, with me trying to keep up. At the end, they both got plastic finisher medals and a snow cone for their accomplishment. I’ll post pictures from this fun little event early next week after I complete my bigger run tomorrow. (Oh how I wish I could only run 1/8 mile and have it be done:))
