So after stating a week or so ago that the Rocky Run 10K was my last “race” of the season, I ended up running the Bethlehem 12th Annual Turkey Trot 5K with my sister. This turned out be an impromptu decision, and looking back this morning, with 18 degree temps at the start, my knees not cooperating, I probably should have staying in the confines of a warm bed.
The run itself was fun, a nice little trek around Historic Bethlehem. However, the cold and spots of black ice made for some interesting “running”. All in all, it wasn’t one of my best 5K times, but I’ll take it as a good training run.
