Nope… this isn’t about real roller coasters… rather, the whole home selling process… after 3 weekends where we had open houses (2 done by our brokers, 1 other one where we just put the sign out, and actually had 2 families come in the door), we’re hitting that point of wondering if it really makes sense… of course, no sooner than we reached this point, last night we had a formal showing. A younger couple saw our home listed through their realtor and decided to check it out. Add to the continuing stress of keeping the house clean, as I’m rushing to get the kids out the door and off to their swimming lesson, the couple and their agent show up 5 minutes early. In hindsight, probably a good thing, as it gave me a chance to say hi, and also address a question they had about why there are so many homes in the neighborhood up for sale (to which my response was accurately, some medical issues, but mostly we all moved in at roughly the same time, and are now moving on with families and upsizing). Based on the feedback from last night’s showing, they have interest and we should be getting an additional showing in a few days. How nice would it be to have a buyer during this tough home selling time, and be able to focus on the move to the new house instead… here’s hoping!
