The Prince of Nuts (or Nutty Prince) Made It!

2014 Princess Half Marathon is in the books! I finished!

After a 3am wakeup call from Olaf (the “Frozen” snowman), I made it on the bus to join about 25,000 other runners, (only 1,500 guys). The race had a muggy 5am start (I think I started officially right before 5:30am in Corral I). I ended up only stopping for a few pictures along the way, as I had the same ball foot pain issue that crept up during Wine & Dine back in November. Even with that, I made it through the race and ended with a slightly slower time of 3:09. Now I’m going to get the foot thing figured out once and for it, and come back in November for redemption. I did wear the medal all day in the park, and soaked up all the congratulations from cast members and guests. Ended the day by spending some time chatting with one of the princesses, hit up a few rides, and got to pretend I was a kid again in the happiest place on Earth.

Check back in a few days for the full write-up. Now I’m sitting here in a hotel room in Saraota, 2 hours away from Disney, getting ready to go to work tomorrow morning.
