Just got settled in after taking the kids to their school’s bonfire… eating smores and watching kids run around in the dark… probably not he best thing I could the night before I’m about to run a 5K and 10K back-to-back. On top of that, the fact that I ran 6 days ago, and only managed two decent dog walks in between, trying to take it easy, makes me a bit anxious. I’m hoping I can do the 5K at my typical 11min/mile pace, and then take the 10K a bit slower. I’d like to be competitive in these races, but at the same time don’t want to hurt myself going into the Wine & Dine half. This will also be the first time I try running with a knee brace, hopefully curbing the patelar tendinitis that has plagued me. Be sure to check back at the end of the weekend for the race recaps.
