The Recovery Week

Didn’t do much of anything running-related this week… I don’t think the post-10K soreness hit me until this past Tuesday, but boy did it hit me… I’ve mentioned in other posts about a persistent issue with my right knee, which I am pretty sure is patellar tendonitis. I’ve been wearing the tendon strap daily, and it seems to be helping. Here’s hoping a trip to the orthopedic doc isn’t in my near future.

The nice part about my mini-break from running is that the family walks with the dog and kids (in a stroller) have been a lot more relaxing for me… it’s a nice way to cross-train and not have the high-impact nature of running, but still enjoying the outdoors. The weather has been up and down as well this past week, but we were able to sneak in a few walks.
