Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday! Spending the day cooking the citrus-brined turkey. As much as I hate the actual preparation process the night before, I love eating the results. My next step after this holiday weekend, and the continuing of the new house unpacking, will be getting back to semblance of a regular running routine. Gave myself 2 weeks off to recover from Wine & Dine, and then had the house move happen.
Bummed this year in general, as the holiday gatherings are getting smaller and smaller. I do miss years back the larger family gatherings, but then unfortunately relatives passed away and things got smaller, until I got married, then my sister got married, then kids came into the picture. Things got bigger for a few years, until the next round of relatives passed away. It’s an unfortunate reality of life, but a constant reminder to cherish the time we have together.
