Running ended up being a good stress reliever this week. After some pretty long days (wife took kids to swimming lessons every night, giving me an easy excuse to work late – not that I really wanted to). Only managed two get on runs Tuesday and Wednesday night, both of which were rather quick 2 milers. Tonight, I headed out for a longer 6 mile run starting around 8:30pm. It was enough time to get in 2 miles of trail running, with the rest on pavement and sidewalks. I’ll probably regret it come Monday morning, but it felt good. I would have squeezed in a run on Thursday, but due to work related things, I ended up relocating a data center. Translation – about 5 hours of lifting 30-40lb. servers into and out of a moving truck. Let’s consider that “cross training”… of course, this weekend, aside from a run, I have lawn mowing to look forward to, also known as “cross training”!
